Sonal lives in Cambridge where she started a number of vegetarian cookery classes. A lot of the first batch of students some 20 years ago were her colleagues who worked in a lab together with her in Cambridge university. One of her students even became her husband several years later!
She truly loves teaching cookery, and has been invited to a few secondary schools on ‘world food days’ for cooking demonstrations. The curiosity and enthusiasm of these students has kept her inspired and helped fulfil her promise of producing this book.
She has also run various Saturday workshops and cooking demos for friends in the village.
The book includes a blend of many different cuisines, including pasta, buckwheat and bulgur wheat recipes, that use Indian spices. She hopes people of all ages will be able to enjoy these
recipes, as her intention is to increase knowledge of healthy but highly enjoyable foods.
